1. Provider and Scope

These Terms of Use apply to the Bikepacking-Partner platform (the "Platform") and all related services. The Platform connects travel partners for bikepacking tours and fosters exchange within the bikepacking community.

By registering and using our Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with all provisions, you must not use the Platform.

2. Registration and User Requirements

Registration is required. You must provide truthful information. Use is permitted only for natural persons aged 16 or older.

The Platform is available to users in Germany, the EU and internationally. Each user may create only one account. Sharing login credentials is prohibited.

3. Content and Community Conduct

3.1 Appropriate Content

Posts must relate to bikepacking, bicycle travel, gear or related outdoor topics. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

3.2 Respectful Interaction

Our community is built on respect and constructive exchange. Posts, comments and messages must not contain abusive, discriminatory or hateful content.

4. Copyrights and Rights of Use

You retain copyright over the content you publish. By uploading content you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use and distribute it within the Platform.

5. Fees and Paid Features

Basic use of the Platform is free. We may introduce optional paid premium features in the future.

6. Communications and Email

We may send account-related emails, notifications and occasional newsletters. You can opt out of marketing emails in your profile settings.

7. Disclaimer and Personal Responsibility

All interactions and meetings with other users occur at your own risk.

7.1 Platform Role

The Platform acts as a matchmaking service only. We are not responsible for the accuracy of user-provided information, the conduct of other users, or the safety of joint activities.

7.2 Safety Recommendations

• Meet potential travel partners in public places first
• Inform friends or family about your plans
• Do not share sensitive personal information too early

8. Moderation

Moderation is carried out by the platform operator. Report violations so we can review them.

9. Privacy and Data Processing

10. Account Security

You are responsible for the security of your credentials. Use a strong password and report suspicious activity immediately.

11. Account Suspension and Deletion

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. Significant changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before taking effect.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

German law applies. Place of jurisdiction is Augsburg where applicable.

14. Severability

If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
